Hello, I wrote a list on the major topics that will most likely come for iGCSE Edexcel 1H:
- Vectors
- Harder Simultaneous
- Enlargement, rotation and movement of shape
- Similar Shape/Volume/Area
- Sin, Cos, Tan graphs
- Proof using algebra
- 3D Trig

The moment I came out of my exam I wrote down all the topics I could remember as I knew you would make this video 😂 (paper 1H)
1.probability (can’t remember how many times)
2.percentages (more than once)
3.factorising quadratics (normal and harder when coefficient of x is greater than 1)
4. Expanding brackets
5.problems involving the circumference and area of circles (it was a pressure/ force exerted question involving a cylinder)
5.polygons (more than one question)
6.functions (finding inverse of a function)
7.differentiation ( some thing to do with equation of a curve then it mentions when the gradient =8)
8.rearranging formulas (just the general 1mark 2mark ones)
9.cones, pyramids, spheres (this one hurt, it was a solid formed from removing a hemisphere from a cone)
10. Pythagoras (I remember using it can’t remember why)
11. Standard form (two part question involving the amount of something produced by three different countries given in standard form then asked to convert to normal form and the second part was “Japan made xxx(normal number) more rice than Argentina in 2020 work out how much rice Japan made in 2020 give your answer in standard form)
12.venn diagrams (fairly short question with the typical is this set empty give a reason as to why or why not)
13. Surds (rationalising the denominator)
14. Transforming curves ( turning point given then f(x-7) and asked to write the new point)
15. Sin rule, cos rule (I believe I explained this one)
16. Histograms (complete the histogram)
17.arithmetic series ( two or three questions I believe the first question and the second before last)

I think I messed up the sequence q. towards the end, as they were asking about a non-regular polygon and I used the exterior equation! Other than that I think everything was better than some other past questions.. If you want to know what came up:

It was pretty decent EXCEPT for 2 questions which was pretty tricky, the one with sequences and polygons combined and the question with the circle sector with an equilateral triangle and a segment of area 38cm^2, which we had to find the perimeter of

Hi Mr Wright I think I remember the arithmetic question from 1Hr.
It was something like
(7x+4), (x+11) (not sure abt this one), (x+2)
Find the integer sum of the first 40 terms

Hi, i sat paper 1H and off the top of my head, the topics that came were: Histograms, arithmetic sequence, probability, differentiation, surds, completing square, pressure, algebraic fractions, factorization, 3d shapes, trigonometry.

I sat for 1H maths paper. It wasn't good and it wasn't bad, but it was pretty decent for me. I only found it hard on histograms and trigonometry.

Sat paper 1h (normal NOT R) and def was one of those exams where I felt I coulda done better but didn’t 😭 (in a tdlr, might be cooked unless I can clutch up paper 2)

Sat paper 1H.... went well.... but the only question I couldn't do was abt histograms (3 marks).... The fact that everyone else, even those who didn't manage to complete all questions managed it!!!

i sat 1h exam was on lower average difficulty side 3 things that were missing for sure were vectors coordinate geometry and algebraic fractions, the only 3d shape was a cylinder so no 3dtrig as well

My son sat paper H1 and said it was okay-ish. He said there was trig, probability, pressure, area, indices, nth term. Hope this helps 🙂
