This is for extreme situations like war, major natural disasters (tornado, typhoons, wildfires, earthquakes) any of which could render ramps and elevators unsafe…I was an emergency and trauma first assist nurse…I was also a paramedic and member of our hazmat team with a nuclear response specialty…we practiced this kind of thing very often…I worked at two large Level I Trauma Centers…this is essential…even with massive backup generators…and redundancy…things can go bad quickly…we were not too far from NYC and Philadelphia and the other hospital I worked at was 40 miles from a nuclear generating station…can’t stick around if something would go poorly…so they’re doing everything right in case the poop hits the motorized ventilator…🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ practice, practice, practice…
