Hi Steph! I desperately NEED to go to Lowe's; but, my daughter and son-in-law are such busy people! Since I no longer drive & have multiple physical disabilities, I'm at their mercy! Fall is my favourite season, but I'm embarrassed to admit that today I bought some woodsy Christmas ornaments. Wasn't planning on it, but they were so cute I couldn't resist. So weird to see Christmas stuff in September. I swear they appear earlier every year. But that didn't stop me. LOL

Cover tulip bulbs/any bulb with 1 inch square wire mesh after plannting in-ground/pot. Ensure the mesh is held down with pins/rocks etc. Yes, the tulip leaves does find the holes to grow through. Plastc mesh and chicken wire (which has 2inches opening) was told sometimes critters can chew through plastic and chicken wire opening the squirrels can get to bulbs sometimes too if small enough Hope this helps

I love these inventory videos. I learn a fair amount about the plants, so thanks for the info. FYI deer and rabbits will eat huechera. They have chewed on mine in my coastal southeastern NC garden. I do love the huechera/huecherella foliage.
