👉 Learn how to convert angles from DMS forms to decimal forms. DMS means Degree, Minutes, and Seconds. Minutes is represented by a single apostrophe (') while seconds is represented with double apostrophe ("). 60 seconds = 1 minute and 60 minutes = 1 degree.

To convert an angle from the DMS form to the decimal form, we add to the degree part of the DMS from the quotient of the minute part of the DMS form and 60 and the quotient of the seconds part of the DMS form and 3600. The resulting sum is the decimal form of the given DMS angle form.
