In my opinion, the Nissan frontiers is the best midsize truck currently on the market, and this video I’m gonna go over some of my personal opinions and common belief from majority of people that I get common from and see online we think the V6 is a crucial part of The frontier being a better truck and we think it’s gonna be more reliable than that four-cylinder turbo in the long run but time will tell

Nissan is my next truck! I just drove both the new Tundra and Tacoma and it is such a huge letdown and disaster that I don’t know how Toyota will recover back to their old ways. Toyota, do better or else your loyal customer will leave your brand and never come back.

I don't like the way the U.S. pickup market is manipulated by Toyota: Toyota has released a bare-bones pickup for the developing countries called the Toyota Champ (aka IMV 0) with a starting price of $10k. But, the Champ won't be imported into the U.S. market because Toyota doesn't want to compete with itself and diminish sales of their $50k+ trucks. The base model Champ comes without power windows, AC, etc., as those are all add-ons. It comes with your choice of a straight-4 engines, two in gasoline and one in diesel: 2.0, 2.7 and 2.4, respectively, and either a manual or automatic transmission. These are currently made in both Thailand (right side driver) and the Philippines (left side driver).

To be fair, it may not ONLY be Toyota who doesn't want a 4-cylinder economy pickup to be available once again on the U.S. market... I'm sure the Detroit 3 don't want it, either, or else they'd be making or importing them themselves. Welcome to the big, mandatory up-sell in the pickup market, whether you wanted it or not.

You're exactly right when you spool🧵 up the turbo they eat ⛽ like crazy if you have a heavy foot that thing will be in the teens very quick.. my 3rd gen manual TRD off-road 4X4 with AC on get around 15mpg but i rev it up 4-4, 500 RPMs usually. Normal driving no AC 19-21 City same on highway 🛣️ cause going 75-80 mph usually. In phx Az fyi

It’s definitely a better deal than the Tacoma, Ranger, Colorado, and Ridgeline. The Frontier definitely has it place on price alone. That’s why I hope they don’t raise the price for this year’s model.
But honestly, in the end it depends on what you like.

The only thing that makes me nervous about the Frontier long-term is that it's only direct injection.

The biggest thing that the Tacoma has going for it in relationship to the Frontier is the perceived resale value, and the illusion that they're difficult to come by. That may have once been the case, but this neutered version of the Taco will not be held in such high regard as previous iterations. I hope that Honda is paying attention.

Better quality, track record, made in USA, V6, less money no cartoon styling or big TV pasted to dash. Apparently not toasting transmissions like new Tacoma either.
Why would anyone go for Toyota except blind brand loyalty, or addicted fanboys who are codependent on the Toyota club?

Having driven both the Nissan and Toyota here is my $.02. The Nissan feels like a lesser vehicle. Toyota 4banger turbo matched with the transmission feels great. However the Nissan is way less expensive and has a V6. Nissan for with win.

Need dual fuel injection, direct & port to keep intake valves clean. Other than that 👌💯🔥🛻💨

I thought the purpose of a 4-cylinder turbo was to save you money and not cost you more money. You would think a four-cylinder turbo will use less resources which means it would be cheaper to produce, but apparently it's not.

The new Taco is built in Mexico and it is still that expensive?!?!?!? Not to mention the questionable reliability. Of all the mid-size trucks, the Frontier seems to have the highest value.

Had a Tacoma, S10, ranger, and f150. My current truck, a Ridgeline, is definitely the best thing you can buy. Awd, 24 mpg average, wider bed, larger back seat, wider truck overall, and much more comfortable.

Both aren't very good but the 24 tacoma is worse because its built like a tin can.
