The Black Label is a former associate company of YG Entertainment, which has housed major acts like 2NE1, BIGBANG, and BLACKPINK. Founded by Teddy Park, The Black Label has been behind numerous hits, including most of BLACKPINK’s discography and Taeyang’s award-winning song "Eyes, Nose, Lips." But what’s next in the company’s plans?

Around February 2024, fans noticed that the record label had filed a trademark for a girl group name, MEOVV. This set off a wave of speculation as a certain group of girls were seen coming and going from YG’s building. This was shortly after the label posted a YouTube video announcing a girl group audition for one spot in the debut lineup. Rumors flew, with some suggesting the lineup might have seven members, while more recent buzz hints at just four. Could this be another attempt at creating a BLACKPINK 2.0?

Kpop industry is a bad thing i have ever seen, double standards in this industry is just insane when babymonster sheesh sounded differently and wasn't even similar to bp or 2ne1 songs people still hated them and now the people who were present at meovv pre listening party all and each of them were saying their debut song sounds exactly a song of 2ne1 but upgraded version with mixture of bp rap style and guess what people are loving them like for real these are the double standards. The Black Label is an associate of YG Entertainment as Teddy now owns about 80% of the label and YG still has about 20% of invested interest. So it is incorrect to say that MEOVV is a YG Girl Group.

I think that Annie Moon's departure would have been expected because even though she might have been talented the hate that she would receive online would take a toll on her mental health.


Bailey Sok on the other hand was most likely seen with the rest of the group because she is their choreographer. Watch their first single that is out now and the dancing they showed would lead you to believe that they had a talented choreographer and dance instructor. That is where Bailey Sok would fit in.

I don't think that there should be a rivaly between BABYMONSTER and MEOVV since they are different type of concepts and music. Until Teddy moved his offices out of the YG Building it would stand to reason that the members of both BABYMONSTER and MEOVV would have known each other and seeing that they probably have been around each other for a while.
