The Caledonia can smooth out any road, but with modern race bikes fitting 30c tires, do you still need one? Watch along as we talk through the brand-new Cerveo Caledonia.

This is a nice update to the Cale. I recently purchased the ENVE Fray, which this bike seems to have borrowed some features from. The Cale might be a slightly better deal but I'm still happy I chose the Fray. It has more tire clearance, bigger downtube storage and just looks a bit more high end and refined. All in all, I agree this is the best one bike or first bike for most of us. My racing days are in the past and while I still like to go fast, I appreciate the comfort and ride quality from the modern wide rim base wheels and rides and the endurance bikes don't need a big stack of headtube spacers to achieve the fit that most of us non-racers want.

Great video quality as always! You should sell the tee as a merch...

Endurance bike is probably the correct bike for 90% of the cyclists out there.

Great way to frame the “endurance bike” question. I bought a ~$1000 gravel bike last year when I started cycling, per everyone’s recommendation - 2000 miles later I’ve learned I love road cycling, and love distance (but also speed), and not so much gravel riding - now I’d like to spend a bag on a really nice bike. Sensible thinking says I should buy an endurance bike, but with a gravel bike on slicks already in the garage, I’m slightly worried an endurance bike would be too similar, and that spending that big cash on a racey bike like the Aeroad would be a better addition to the quiver while also being more noticeably different for the money. But will it be too uncomfortable!! The eternal question. Thanks for exploring that a little more in this video.

Love the colour and have been tempted by a Caledonia for a while. My main worry is as it’s an all road bike will that affect its speed in comparison to something like the new Defy.

Question: Is it possible to dismount the stem with the internal cable set-up. I want to transport the bicycle in a suitcase. The dismount is only for fixing the stem in an vertical possession in the suitcase

Would running 28 tires cause any problems?

So who wants to buy my 2024 54cm Cal-5? The red looks good and reminds me of the Santa Cruz color palette.

Seems like they are making too many road platforms right now. They have four road bikes as well as a very road-friendly gravel bike. Seems like the Soloist, Caledonia and R5 could be one bike?

*rolls eyes* there is no market for these. What is the aero drag compared to the Soloist?
