Crazy to think that plane is probably a tomb for someone! I hope their death was quick and painless, if they did go down with the plane, but I'm glad they found it! So interesting seeing how there seems to be alot of life living around that wreckage! Also that jelly looks crazy with that red spot in the middle!

I love this channel so much. Real creatures and some unidentifiable or undiscovered, no click bait bullshit just marine biology, science and the mysterious depths of the abyss.

The shrimp looks like some loony toon character when they run off a cliff

The composition of these videos always gets me so immersed in the abyss. I love the feeling it gives, very unique and mystical. The discovery of the B-29 really caught me off guard! I was so in the zone that for whatever reason it gave me real chills and even brought me to tears! I don't know how you do it, but you make me feel things that I never knew I could. Keep it up!!

Jesus, seeing that plane down there was the saddest thing. This place is too cold, dark and lonely for a plane to be there, and I don't even want to think about the person that flew it. Unbelievable it ended up so deep down.
My respect.

#1 blew my mind, it’s really a different planet down there.

The shrimp is cool as heck but it seems like such easy prey, especially with those long antennae!

The Marianas Islands were the site of quite a bit o the fighting during the latter two years of WWII, with the islands being bases for B-29 aircraft flying out of airfields to attack the Japanese islands and other locations. Quite a few places were lost on their way back from bombing raids, often running out of fuel on the return trip and/or receiving damage by the Japanese defenders. While some might have 'crashed' into the sea, many were 'ditched' being flown to land on the ocean surface, allowing crewmembers to escape the doomed aircraft, before sinking. In fact, large numbers of surface ships and submarines were stationed in the area to rescue aircrews, and flying boats were constantly patrolling the area of operation to rescue crews when no ship could be vectored in to rescue downed crews.

It is still amazing that the plane is so well preserved considering what transpired. It would be interesting if the ROV had been able to recover something that might identify the plane, however impractical this effort might have been.

"The most secret, unread chapters of early life, and the answers to our oldest questions surely must lie at the bottom of the ocean."

-A glowing shrimp probably.

the unidentified jelly looks so alien, it reminds me of the cockpit of a ship or something.

Whatever formula rubber they used for airplane tires in 1943, I want that in my car's tires.

It so sweet seeing so many fish and other marine life living in and around the B-29 bomber.

It's relieving seeing life flourish amongst death.

I'm in love with your channel, that atmosphere, the 'show, no tell' presentation. I can actually see the care oozing out of this channel's content.

This channel core of this channel is the core virtue of the ocean it's unknown. This channel doesn't trample upon it's mysteriousness with annoying lack of wonder or lackluster fence sitting e.g. asking "what do you think about this in the comments?" This kind of thing diminishes the ocean's virtue to mere hearsay; gossip, rumor, 'truth in the eye of the beholder'.

But this channel places & focuses on the unchanging *Absolute TRUTH* that is, The ocean begets many unknowns & what it reveals to be known, like daily bread, which further bends our understanding.

This channel encourages wonder of the unknown. This place doesn't add anything that'll make you doubt or explain away the ocean's virtue I appreciate it because technology took away our sense of wonder. And you @deepseaoddities are restoring it.

I was a sub on your channel in my old account, you were demonitized for 'repeating content' even though you thoroughly compiled and edited the video properly. The only one I know who had a similar type of work was HybridLibrarian and the old Dark5, but none specializes in making videos about marine ecology and biology other than you. I am pleased that you were remonitized so that you have an incentive to keep making videos, Cheers and prosperity to you, DeepSeaOddities! :)
