The Shenzhou-14 spaceship will implement a completely independent fast automated rendezvous and docking with the space station core module, without control of the astronauts or the ground teams, according to the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST).

Wow, a radial docking again which is more difficult than orbital docking as the two have to move at the same speed at different orbits. The incoming module has to adjust the radial speed continuously when its orbit radius becomes greater every second as it moves toward the space station. This kind of docking needs an advance automated system with great accuracy as any instability due a slight difference in orbital speed can cause a break down in docking mechanism. The last time the radial docking went perfectly well and surely this time it will go well also. 👍👍👍👏👏👏
