I have an OC that doesn’t ever TRULY break the 4th wall, but comes rather close. She can hear the background music shift, and it has saved her life. She can feel where the world hasn’t been expanded and exploit that.
“Guys we are NOT charging into the creepy tunnel!!! The shadows are bad enough but don’t y’all hear those horror-music strings?”

Honestly I love fourth wall breaking characters, but it’s even cooler when a character only knows it’s there but can’t break it, can’t interact with it without major consequences to themselves, watching the screen do its moving, facing towards it and saying something, but at the same time could just be seen as talking to themselves

I have an idea for the 4th wall one.
So for the first few days in the book, it’s all normal. They hangout, shop, eat, whatever, then one character starts to feel like they are being watched. Everyday they slowly get closer to finding out about their life. Towards the middle of the story, they start to go, “insane.” They start noticing opaque cameras floating around, they take them down, one by one, and when they are almost close to getting out of the pages, the story ends.
