I accidentally found this video and after watching it this made me feel so proud, my mom’s style is so classic and sweet, and I’m going to describe her, she always wear white or lighter colors dress trousers with elegant white chiffon blouses, lighter colors belts and elegant and classic nude or white high heels or sling back shoes, she wears nude or light pink or brown elegant purses with a discreet gold jewelry, it looks amazing with her straight and blonde hair and her discreet makeup style 💕💕♥️

My takeaways: Elegant shoes are (a) possible to *walk* in without fear of breaking an ankle; and (b) simple, sleek and discreet. However, in my opinion, footwear must also be situationally appropriate: Wearing kitten heels in a blizzard, or ballet flats to cycle 35k would be insane. In a downpour, wellies; in a Canadian winter, insulated boots; and on a 10k walk, sturdy hiking shoes with excellent traction-- although none of these shoe styles could be considered "elegant". Slavish devotion to 'elegance' -- just like slavish devotion to branded 'fashion'-- can sometimes be the antithesis of true style: some days demand colourful, eye-catching, comment-provoking footwear-- although in that case, the rest of the outfit shouldn't compete!

She's not saying don't wear it. She's saying if you want to look elegant, elegant being the key word, you should wear these not these. People tend to take recommendations so personally. Wear what you want if you want to look how you want to look. Don't wear certain things if you want to look elegant. Simple.

I can agree with all but #2. Uggs are a staple in my winter wardrobe. They come in a variety of styles and colors. Elegant women deserve to be warm and comfortable and Uggs are the perfect go to when needed.
