You should get your money back, the doors are a conpletely different colour to the car 😂

Don't know if it's because of the camera. But the doors seem to be a slightly different color to the front and rear panels. They should have oversprayed a little to blend the doors in with the other panels.

when you rent a car in thailand do you use a credit card with collision insurance coverage?

#1 is that driving here is crazy due to Thai drivers. I had not had an accident in 30 years but have had 3 in 2 years here. You just can't drive defensively enough.
The good news is insurance is about $500 a year and comprehensive, no deductable.

Mergim preferred to live in thailand than in Philippines

@11.15 you can clearly see the doors are a different colour to the front and back panels. Maybe just the lighting 😂

Well, that is not exactly how to deal with accidents. That will work if there is no other vehicle, person or property involved. And, of course, whether it's your vehicle or you are renting it. If you get involved in an accident with a third party, you need to stop and, in both Thailand and Philippines, wait for the rep from the insurance company to attend the scene. It's a pain and you can be waiting a while. In 6 years living in BKK (2013-19), I had one accident in my Honda City, which was not my fault as the other driver decided to turn right from the third lane across and hit the vehicle in the second lane and mine in the first lane. Just a pain waiting, but the insurance sorted it out. I've also ridden motorbikes in Thailand and Philippines for years and never had a problem. Quite simply, defensive driving and assuming all other road users are idiots.

Mergim lived in the Philippines to get more subscribers. When he got what he thought he needed (as far as number of subscribers) he moved back to Thailand, which should not be a surprise. Vlogging is a business for many of these guys. It's about making money and how to make more money. That is not a bad thing because that is a basic necessity.

I’m assuming you’ve already taken that back.
if not, i would advise you return it at night during a blackout🫣

I am not a big fan of these parking assist and electronic bump or collision sensors. Don't get me wrong, I welcome these new technologies that make it much easier for the driver to maneuver a car without getting those bumps or scratches. But I would rather trust the driver's good judgment learned from long driving time and experience. These electronic devices may fail to function properly at a certain time because of vibrations, heat, and other external factors. Your driving skills will still work when these devices already failed.

You're just not fit to drive in Asia. I've been driving for more than 10 years here. Only got a scratch from a motorbike driver hitting my rear bumper. But that's it. Asian roads are smaller with too much of motorvehicles. If you're not a good driver you'll definitely be damaging your car.

your obviously not a good driver considering I've been here 10 years driving and riding everyday without any problems what so ever. Take a taxi would be better for you and probably the public too...

7:50 Weird way of thinking. Yes, the part may just be 500 baht, but if they have to take the car out of action while it's being fixed then that's more in lost revenue for the rental shop. Also the admin/time cost.

I drive 30k-50k km/year in Thailand and haven't had any incidents that were my fault yet. The only things that have happened are other cars scratching my car in shopping centers and running away, as well as a motorbike coming too close and scratching it. I like driving in Thailand more than I do in Europe as I'm always extra cautious here, whereas in Europe I drive a bit like a robot 🤣
