I was a smoker for like 15 years and found screaming of all kinds to be easy as could be. Quit a 5 years ago and literally sounded like I was singing choir for 2 years because I couldn't figure out how to produce any sort of distortion at all. Finally was able to re-find a decent scream a few years ago and have been building back ever since. Honestly the way I used to sound makes you wanna smoke again. It was almost like I could hit any note without question and with any amount of distortion I wanted with ease 😂 This is a very good tutorial though. Once you get enough muscle memory going you'll be able to just push air through without question and hit all sorts of notes both high and low. It's impossible to explain but this did a good job at figuring out the first step.

I learned when i was a teenager the "inward scream" but throat became hoarse after doing it, rapid vibration creates distortion and could damage permanently if the technique is wrong, so i stopped aspiring to sing Saosin and screamo songs before. Your demonstration was phenomenal man.

This is helping me so much, thank you! I'm not a singer or anything, but my voice has gotten very weak.. even just yelling for someone to come upstairs, I sound like a cat being dropped onto deflating bagpipes. If I had to scream for help, I'd be totally screwed!
