Changing the Guard Windsor on Thursday 1st August 2024. This video features the New guard 1st Battalion Welsh Guards and the Old Guard is also 1st Battalion Welsh Guards. The musical support was the Band of the Scots Guards led by Assistant Senior Drum Major Fitzgerald.

A hot march up, as temperatures reached 29 Degrees C during the day.

Great video AFV, thanks very much. I see you got an aircraft shadow as well (at about 00:17 )! I thought that the Band of the Scots Guards looked immaculate, as usual, and sounded great, with a superb trombone section. The cymbal player gets some amazing sounds - a master at work! Well done on getting my favourite bit of "The Warrior", at 07:14 .

I've watched lots of these videos. Why does the band always have a single guardsman marching in one of the ranks (usually about 5 or so ranks back) without any instrument whatsoever?
