Besides losing Rodri to injury, opponents have worked out to put city under pressure and provoke Haaland, who when provoked, loses concentration and doesn’t score.

The answer is pep pushes everyone forward and expects both kovacic and gundogan who don’t have the pace, strength or defensive awareness to be able to play CDM and the one person that does have that is nunes and he hasn’t been given a chance to play there.

kyle walkers pace dwindling with age isnt the problem, its the fact that hes useless except for his pace, alvarez and rodri are also two massive missing profiles, I always thought alvarez was hugely underrated

The simple answer is purely down to a lack of defensive midfielders like way too many of the goals were from fast breaks and counter attacks

The truth is that when you start to lose other teams dont fear you anymore so you are destined to lose some more the past the moment the games begin the opponents seemed to fear City and not have any creative but now that some of their players weaknesses are exposed every team is now putting in a fight so in football its difficult to come back and win unless you change the gameplay

I wonder why Guardiola hasn't play Stones in the CDM position yet, because Stones used to play false-CB role perfectly last season

Idk, maybe because of no ruben dias. As a Juve fan i can relate, we conceded 7 goals since bremer injury

Selling alvarez was definitely a big mistake. That guy just wins everywhere he plays

How could 4 in a row champions, in the most competitive league in the world be relying on one player 💔

Tottenham did it without their main CB’s and never parked the bus
Credit to Spurs
City won games without Rodri
They will come back to

When they played wolves, they had 96% possession at half time. It was 1-1
This sums them up. Boring, possession based football, passing it from side to side along the penalty box, often going backwards with limited creativity to produce decent chances without an abundance of defenders to stop it.
Managers are starting to figure out how to play against it.

Pep needs to just admit he needs to adjust the teams style of play for now. How many losses til his ego cracks?

There's no need for this video. The answers are simple. They're overly reliant on Rodri and their main players bar Haaland are no longer in their physical prime.

We can’t be Rodri FC ffs, pep needs to overcome this. I’m sure he will and he’s more motivated than ever looking at his press conferences

Why isn't John Stones playing DM though. Didn't Pep do that when he needed to work Halaand in last season?

First goal with TOT is almost 100% fault of Gundogan. Had he continued to track Maddison there would have never been an issue. Instead, he slowed down and then pointing to Walker and/or Stones to take care of it. To me this is an obvious mistake and stupid decision. Just prior to that, Guardiol should have done better against Kulushevski (just kick the ball to side line, simple) so that he never had such an easy time to produce the weighted pass to Madison
