He told her from the beginning he didnt want a relationship and she intially agree till she started developing feelings for him. She wanted him but he wasnt ready and not interested in a relationship.
Pierre did nothing wrong, he told her he has no intention to have a relationship and the reason behind it. But, she kept pushing as she wants to fight for the love she craved. Pierre did the right thing to break things off before it got to intense. Feelings got hurt at first and then they healed. Glad they both had that closure.

both perspectives... are actually depressing. he just didn’t understand enough at the time, but has now, and suddenly feels the loss. but she understood and felt the loss straightaway, and now she’s received her closure. it’s sad what love does to us...
