Okay, I nearly punched a hole through my window trying to get this uploaded. This video was ready to be uploaded at 5:30 PST but I ran into some technical issues. This is incredibly frustrating on my end, and I do apologize for the video not being up earlier. Thank you for watching and I'd love to hear from all of you in the comments!

As someone who just came in on Monster Hunter, I have to say it’s truly one of the greatest franchises going. You really can’t go wrong with any of the games except maybe the OG on the PS2. Rise Sunbreak on the Switch is probably one of the best games I’ve ever played, I’ve piled more hours in than any other game I can think of without it even feeling like I’ve scratched the surface. It can be as pick up and play or as deep and as long as you want it to be and the short hunts on Rise play into this a lot more than the other iterations. Also I would say it has many retro sensibilities about it in terms of gameplay and challenge. It’s like an old school boss rush, so many games in recent years have ripped ideas from it, it’s influence is underrated. The fact it has co op online which is virtually bulletproof in terms of connections is a winner, people can drop out and the game goes on, you don’t get penalised for having bad internet. So many nuances to it, the steady stream of updates have kept it fresh for 2 years now, the amount of content is truly amazing value. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not without its issues but I would say to any gamer, give it a try.

My personal favorite Capcom games include Mega Man 3, Mega Man X, Breath of Fire IV, Street Fighter Alpha 3 (go for broke), & X-Men Children of the Atom.

Here are some of the reasons: Final Fight series, Mega Man series, Street Fighter series, Captain Commando, Knights of the Round, Magic Sword, King of Dragons, multiple Disney games, MERCS, Forgotten Worlds...on and on...just like Konami!

MegaMan X is one of my all time favorite games. So good. Most of the other games in the series are amazing too. I also think Naughty Dog deserves a shout out. While they may not have as many games out as Capcom, they have some of my favorites: Crash Bandicoot, Uncharted, The Last of Us.

I loved the Disney games like Ducktails and chip and Dale for the NES. Also loved Street Fighter 2 and Ghouls and Ghosts for the Genesis

Massive profits are a side effect of good games. Making a game for profit does not automatically make it a good game.
I really like the Megaman X series 1-4

I really wish capcom would revive the Breath of Fire series. They were the first RPG's I ever played and made me fall in love with RPG's. And I mean the old school RPG's. Not the mobile game they tried to push which was garbage. I feel like I am not the only one who has consistently been calling for a revival of this series and a return to form for it. I think if they honestly did that my heart would stop hahahahaha.

Megaman 2 & 3. I know, such controversial and original choices... if capcom would rerelease the Cadillac and DInosaurs arcade game I would be all over that. I have good memories of playing that as a wee little guy. It could be a crap game, I just know I freaking loved it as a kid.

Squaresoft consistently put out gem after gem. Even after the Enix merger they still had most of their talent and were putting out high quality stuff. But Sakaguchi self-exiled after the movie snafu, Matsuno self-exiled halfway through directing FF12 which de-railed timelines and pushed FF13 from PS2 to PS3. This had a crippling compound effect in the almost 2 decades that followed by games seeing massive setbacks as they would sink years into development, ignoring nagging technical limitations until their legs were so deep in the mud that they'd finally and reluctantly switch to a new game engine and re-do everything. This tragic unwillingness to make the hard decisions early on left scars on FF13 and FF15, two enormous projects that had a huge rippling effect on everything else. Now they've lost so much ground that they're forced to churn out easier cash grabs in the form of all the spinoffs and remasters. So while it may seem that Square Enix have "changed" or "lost some integrity" in the eyes of gamers, they're really just making up for past mistakes. A Sega that didn't crash quite so hard, but rather more slowly and that they're recovering from.

Don't forget about Square. They've seemed to have lost their touch as well. Capcom, Konami, and Square were godly in the 90's. It felt like they could do no wrong. Now they can barely do right. Capcom does seem like they are at least trying and listening to fans. Unlike Konami who is busy in Pachinko land and Square just does what they want.

As far as my favorite Capcom franchises besides the obvious would also be DMC, Final Fight, Viewtiful Joe. etc.

I love me some Capcom. But, I'm not a fan of Monster Hunter. I'm playing RE remake now. I've would love to play Mega Man 11. I love the 8 bit Mega Man games.

Gamers USED to love Capcom.

These days it’s one of the most HATED companies around if not the most hated.
