One other thought if I may -- you're a young guy, and it must be thrilling for you to get to enjoy buying a 'new' solo Beatles album upon its first release. Enjoy that feeling and treasure it!

Nice review. I bought the Deluxe CD today but haven't played the whole thing yet. I want to do a proper review too, but for myself I tend to need to wait some time until I really learn the songs in order to render a fair verdict. On first listen I too thought Paul's voice on "Early Days" was weak -- however, I thought the same thing on "Jenny Wren" (off CHAOS AND CREATION), and I wound up liking it that way. Hearing the album in the background of your video already sounds good -- and modern!

I bought the deluxe version today. I've listened to it twice. It is fantastic and Paul sounds better than ever.

Surprised me that Little Steven's Underground Garage radio station picked "On My Way To Work" as their song of the week a few weeks back, and still play it several times a day. Not that it's not a good track, just would've pegged them to pick one of the album's more uptempo numbers given the music they play. 
Playing the album for the first time in a few weeks and really enjoying it. One mark of a great record for me is if you come back to it later after liking it on initial spins and it still holds up.

great CD ...all the slow . weak vocals were the songs I didnt like at first...now I love the flow of the record SO MUCH...Rockers like Save Us, I Can Bet, Turned Out . Alligator, some of the best Macca Stuff in Years...worth the long wait..

Great review sir! I do agree that the vocals on Early Days is a bit weak... but those weak vocals make that song my favorite. The lyrics hail back to his youth with him and John starting out and his age reflecting in the vocals for me just make the song complete. Again, great #CharmysArmy
