Fall Time Pumpkin Dump Cake / Thanksgiving Dump Cake

My friend, Allan, sent me his pumpkin pie dump cake to try, and it was delicious!

To me, this reminded me of a sweet potato souffle, except with pumpkin.
This was very easy to make. Here's what you will need:

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Lightly spray some non stick spray in your baking dish

1- 15oz can of pumpkin puree
1- 12oz can evaporated milk
1- cup white granulated sugar
3 eggs (Large)
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Mix everything until well blended and pour in your baking dish

Topping
1 Package of cake mix
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup melted butter
Mix the cake mix and other ingredients and sprinkle on top of the pumpkin mixture, then pour over your melted butter

Bake for around an hour, or until the pumpkin is set and the topping is nicely browned. The pumpkin can be a little jiggly because it will continue to set up while it cools.
I let mine cool for at least an hour.

Hello cricket, this looks really good. I can't have nuts but sure you can substitute that for something else. Thinking about making this for Thanksgiving instead of the actual pumpkin pie for a change. Thanks for sharing my friend and hoping you are well and have a good week. Sending hugs
