At her very young age, she was brought to Japan as a part of the colonialist plan to Japanize the royal family. Until thirty-eight years later, she finally returned home. Yes, she had such a sad and tragic life. At least she did get to come back to Korea during the last part of her life and was able to live in the palace again. Being a princess or royalty does not guarantee that anyone will have a happy life.

Last members of the royal family of Korea was sad..their last king was thrown out without a single cent and had to move to the states and work without anything then when he moved back to Korea he was not even allowed to enter the palace...

Omg!! It was not her fault to born to into the royal family. I feel so bad although her husband tried to help. Even her own daughter has depression and ran away. That would also killed any mother. Great video. It was not fair how they were treated by both sides. It was not their choices to move to Japan

Got to know her story from the Netflix show The Last Princess, it was very sad and touching. Aside from the main protagonists, I really respect her Japanese husband too, who tried his best to take care and help her

I watched the Movie on Netflix and it was so good. But knowing the story of the Princess made me so sad. I felt the emotions because the actress portaid it so well. I can't imagine the pain that she'd been through. It's too much. It's cruel.

The reason why she wasn't allowed to return was because democracy was newly established and bringing a royal back into a country would spark royalist revolt .

Even the sister and cousins of Tsar Nicolas II who escaped West lived a destitute life, they lived as farmers and sold jewelries they wore to survive.
All their wealth were in Russia.
They managed to live decent lives from the help of Russian expats and the Windsor royals.
Same with the last Emperor of China, Puyi.
