The first time i ever had to bring a copy of my resume in person was at a fake job interview back in 2010. Most of the time, employers already have your resume on hand when you apply to their job posting. Word of mouth has been the more popular approach these days. Just a shop welders input here. Hey Austin! what type of school or certification do you need for different types of Welding work? I'm currently on my way out of the Air Force with a background in Hydraulics and want to get into welding.. My Plan is to hit the ground running and be ready to learn. I'm trying to make a step by step plan with my schooling and was wondering if you had any advice on that type of Info. I haven't gotten to watch all of your videos yet, but i do plan on it! Anyway. I appreciate your effort you put into your videos they have helped me a bunch so far and I'm sure everyone else feels the same.

I always thought that, as a welder, if you made it into the pipeline welder fraternity, You arrived at the transition, to where welding was a trade, and now it is a profession. A place where your skill is responsible for millions of dollars of capitol investment,  and security of a nations energy supply. That is a pretty big shoe to fill and a huge responsibility.

So your saying that your limited only to people you know or know you. So what do you do if you heard of a company but don't know anyone with that company or on a job? You just give up and hope your little circle of friends will get you on a job that's bad networking
