Disappointed students gather outside parliament, chant ‘destroy Harapan’ | KiniFlash - 17 Oct

Students part of a group called Gerakan Desak Janji Pakatan Harapan (DESAK), held a protest outside of the Parliament building today over Harapan’s failure to keep some of its election promises.

The group’s chairperson, Muhammad Ikhwan Nasyriq, said the Budget 2020 proved that the Harapan government wasn’t capable of realising its election promises, especially on PTPTN.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamd said students have the right to demonstrate, but a convocation ceremony is neither the time nor place to carry out such an action.

Universiti Malaya (UM) graduate Wong Yan Ke is now being investigated under Section 504 of the Penal Code after the university lodged a police report over his protest during the varsity’s graduation ceremony yesterday.

This would not be happen in Malaysia, we believed the opposition party was a culprits, the authority must take action on them, it only a small group if in others countries this people should be put under ISA.

Everyday Malaysian politic. Everyday malaysian fighting each other. If u vote this, same thing will happen, if u vote that one, same thing will happen because both sides refuse to cooperate and fight for people's well-being. Instead, they chose to fight each other and tunjuk taring in front of many. Student also, don't just menyalak2 because you didn't know much about governing the country. Good in making protest but after graduating, you complain for not having job while there are many jobs out there. Stupid mentality our people have now. Our country is now in instability due to racial issue, instead of focusing on fighting each other, why not try to solve and ease the problem together? Oh I know they can't because politicians are hot headed and sombong. We should throw those useless and worthless politicians in trash just like how ukrainian did to their politicians.

Sy kata secara tidak pihak pada mana...kalau di lihat memang dia salah tapi dia juga benar. 1. UM buat acara Maruah Melayu tidak perlu wang ke? Dan dia tuntut kenapa yuran naik? Jd ada logic juga...sebenarnya University tidak digalakan membuat apa2 acara politik kalau dibuat pasti org2 luar baik luar negeri atau dalam negeri akan ketawa...apakah mendidik anak2 memberi pelajaran atau lain?
