Fast Oviraptor Taming Guide :: Ark : Survival Evolved Tips and Tricks

In this video I quickly show you how to tame an Oviraptor. These guys are fairly straight forward to tame, but they require a lot of eggs in order for you to tame them; the best being Giganotasaur eggs, anything else takes a lot of time, and a lot of eggs.

Oviraptors have two primary purposes. The first is egg boost. Egg Boost decreases the interval between when tamed female dinosaurs can attempt to lay an egg. The second is egg thief. They can pick up eggs from non-friendly creatures and bring them back to you.

You wake up in the middle of nowhere, maybe it's a beach, a mountain, a forest, or a jungle, but it is no place that you have known. There is a strange device implanted into your arm. Welcome to the ark. The place where long extinct creatures eat you while you feebly try to survive. This series is my attempt to show you little things that will help you flourish.

As the promised new version of ARK has been delayed three times already, but this might be the last cycle before the original game is removed/retired from all the official servers, I am noticing some changes to how things work. I guess this means either my copy of the original ARK game on THE ISLAND is bugged, or programming has been changed. I just captured and tamed a female Oviraptor, put her in a small pen, set her to wonder, but none of my dinosaurs are showing the influence to lay eggs more often. Wondering why not?
