I made Mandelbrot set using equation provided in processing. It really look nice.

I found one based on the ellipse. The regular one is based on the circle. My ellipse one is the same as the regular one except it is skewed 45 degrees. It is purely algebraic and uses x^2+y^2+x*y (ellipse) instead of x^2+y^2 (circle) to determine the radius.
x^2+y^2+x*y=1
x^2+y^2=1
<cos(θ)-(1/3)*sin(θ)*sqrt(3), cos(θ)+(1/3)*sin(θ)*sqrt(3)>
