fun fact about Turkish delight: in the lion, the witch and the wardrobe, around that time in the war the resources were finite, making it difficult to make the sweet treat. so being presented with such a dish made it a fairly easy decision to betray his whole family.
(in my personal opinion I wasn't too impressed when I tried it, but then again I don't think I had the right kind)
