Florida Crowd Cheers as Governor Ron DeSantis Signs Sweeping New Voting Law

A crowd cheered as Florida Gov Ron DeSantis signed a new bill in Palm Beach aimed at curbing access to mail-in voting in the state. DeSantis, a Republican, said the bill would “increase transparency and strengthen the security of our elections.”

NBC News reported that “Democrats and activists warn [the bill] could suppress voter turnout.”

The signing was conducted without local media present; it was instead broadcast live on Fox News, according to media reports. Jay O’Brien, a reporter with CBS12, said: “We were a pool camera, assigned to feed this event to affiliates nationwide. Now, the only camera will be Fox News.”

We need id for everything, but to exercise the right to vote some people think that its not important ? I want a State Id to vote . Ill be first in line . Puerto Rico that is a tiny island had it for years ! Besides that it functions as a second ID in any case .

This law might not be about having an ID and voting but those that complain about showing ID I recommend just get one and those people that don’t want to show up to vote in person well if you don’t want any issues with your candidates, just get an Uber and vote in person, I am a minority and I feel very proud every time I show up to vote I recommend it very much
