Mann, Im glad to see you posting all the time and still inspiring people, grew up watching dual survival and all I can say is, I appreciate all the products and time you've put into helping people get into the backcountry and learn self reliance! God bless

I've now owned 2 Beach LT kayaks for 4 years. I have set them up a hundred times. They're still good as new and they're surprisingly rigid when assembled.
As Dave has basically said, it can only get easier with a little practice and he's correct. I can set them both up in 10 minutes. I use them for week long backwoods portage/camping trips. They easily hold 30L drybags in the bow and stern and more bags behind the seat or at feet if needed. At just 25lb, it's an easy carry for long portages. An equally light canoe or kayak is more than $4000 where I live. I just strap these on my Gladiator Diamondback cover, load the bed with other gear and I'm gone.
You know what they say, don't knock it until you've tried it.
Cheers!

To sum up, it is a fully functional kayak. Compared to a traditional one, you gain a reduction in length so it is easier to store and can fit inside of a mid to large size vehicle instead of on top/outside. The package it folds up into is still big and now uses space inside your vehicle. You lose durability, set-up time (this is minor since, as Dave said, lashing a kayak properly to the roof takes some time), complexity (if one part is lost or fails...) and it is relatively expensive. My opinion is you don't gain enough to justify the price but if you absolutely need the more compact storage/transport size, you might want to consider it.

I’d love to see an “on the waters edge” series updated with this kind of new and interesting gear. I know he’s insanely busy now, but Canterbury series from back in day were solid gold.

Great demonstration of the set up and take down Dave! Looks like a very easy way to get out on the water!

I reccomend a car wash sponge in every canoe/kayak for bailing/cleaning. Between land and water is usually mud and water always drips from paddles

Thanks for obtaining and reviewing products like this- like you I think there would be a place for that little boat even if not in my truck. For a car camper who literally uses a car that might be the hot set up.

Everything about this make is great. Just be careful you don't come in hot to any dock or you may chip a tiny piece of the canopy out unlike molded kayaks, obviously. These are so much easier to travel with and everybody seems to be impressed with it. You can throw it in your trunk and no one would even know you have it, and if you pass a lake it gives you the option to go kayaking. It's a win-win and very affordable.

I am partial to my canoes but I can certainly see an application for that kayak. Would be great stored in the camper to use in a pinch.

Thanks for the review, I've been looking at these for awhile because I live in an apartment currently and I don't want to have to pay to store a normal kayak

I’m thinking about one of these for some time I’m 74 years old so the light weight is I’m liking. Thank you for taking the time to make this video 🥱

For some people, myself included because of age, weight is a deciding factor. This kayak has some plusses for weight and storage.
Thanks for sharing!👍

Great info Dave I could see this being a great portable option that can be stored out of sight. I have two kayaks one lifetime and one old town pdl and you are correct by the time you get it unloaded and to the site you can carry the 25lbs and assemble that much easier, perfect for the purpose it was designed for.
