Tornado fells trees then smashes eyewitness's window - BBC News

A rare tornado has swept through several villages in the Czech Republic, killing five people and leaving more than 150 others injured.

One eyewitness filmed the tornado toppling trees before it smashed through the window they were standing beside on Thursday.

In the parts of the USA where tornadoes are common, people know that they MUST take shelter when one is approaching...but in other places where tornadoes are rare, onlookers will just stand and watch and take videos. This means that we get to see really dramatic things like this very close-up view of destruction, but it also means people are exposing themselves to potential injuries and death because they don't know better.

Update to this: Winds are estimated to have been between 340-380 km/h, making this an F4 tornado.
To put things into perspective, the devestating 2013 EF5 Moore tornado had winds up to 340 km/h.

That's a lot more than 136mph winds, that was an EF4 at least. Seen too many of these, that's definitely and EF4 any higher and the buildings would be piles and smears of rubble.
