Former morning talk show host T.J. Holmes faced a frightening moment during the Chicago Marathon when he was taken away by ambulance after suffering an injury mid-race.

Another one of the snaps saw legs and feet while he was strapped to the gurney.
There was also a video which seemed to be taken by Amy showing off his leg and panning to T.J. looking rather worried.

The 47-year-old shared that he ended up not finishing the Oct. 13 race, posting photos of himself from inside an ambulance.
“So, this happened,” the Amy & T.J. podcast cohost captioned the photos of himself on a stretcher, “Full story to come."
Throughout the race, Holmes had been updating fans on his Instagram Story, with his final mid-race snapshot revealing he made it to the 15-mile mark of the 26.2-mile marathon before. But his girlfriend was by his side when he had to call it a day.
