A bunch of this was already present on 8.0.0... There's definitely some new stuff with 8.1 but much of what you mentioned already existed. Appreciate the video, though - keep it up.

All the features you just mentioned are from Android 8.0.0. I'm using November 5th build and I've all the features that you just mentioned. From what I've heard and read articles on the web, with Android 8.1.0 they've 'unlocked?' I'd say, the visual core chip that is designed by Google and Intel to process the HDR and portrait photos upto 5 times faster and allow third party apps to use that chip as well.

most of these things are present on the November security patch update on my pixel 2 xl? not really sure what the difference is except the android Oreo logo?

Wo my Nexus 6P just received the 8.1 Oreo update. Thank you Google for still supporting the Nexus 6P. This phone is still super fast and has great battery life and now continues to have top notch Android security updates thanks to Google. They are seriously making me consider buying the Pixel as my next phone because of their software updates however it has no headphone jack so no go for me.

So I downloaded 8.1 on to my Nexus 6P, 895MB BTW!! So I watch this video to discover that the top new feature is the notification display is now ever so slightly transparent!! A couple of other minor visual changes. Oh also a new hamburger🍔and beer emoji🍺!!
I'm trying to get excited, but yeah it's not happening😞😢!!

There is a new option Camera HAL HDR+ availabe under Developer Options. Suppose to open access to the Pixel Visual Core's.
