The picking pattern for the people trying to appergiate, it is for G D/F# and Em : 64321232, and for the last chord D he does 4323 and than adds the F# in thr bass and goes 6323.

So the picking pattern is G-63231232
D/F#-6(mute F# with thumb)3231232 Em-64231232 D-43236(muted F#)323
It's quite easy to pick up the pattern if you've been playing for a while, but I thought this channel is beginner-friendly .__.

Yo dude, good job! I have been playing for 16 years and I'm always looking for videos to help me learn songs very quickly so I don't have to figure it out myself LOL and you did it in a few minutes and you talk fast and you play fast which is good because it's annoying when I'm watching a video where the guy is acting as if he's teaching a six-year-old how to play the song. Thank you!

@Miles Bolnick the numbers are in every string the fret where you put your finger
Like the chord G is 3, 2, 0, 0, 3, 3.
That's sixth string on 3rd fret, fifth string 2nd fret, (idk how to say it in english) its like open string the fourth and third and the second and first string on 3rd fret

literally would have been the easiest picking pattern if he actually said the strings he picked

The strings of your guitar from bottom to top are EBGDAE or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. So basically, hold the G chord, then by using the fingers of your right hand pick the strings in the supposed order - 63231232. Same goes for the other chords.

Thank goodness you put the picking pattern. I thought he was going to when he said he was going to go over it again and he didn't lol. I was like darn it!

guys. ima give u a tiny, very useful lesson. if u wana pick this, it duznt matter how u pick it. its called arpeggiated. itl sound the same no matter how u do it as lng as u change the chords with the rhythm. a way to practice it iz to just strum it until u get the right rhythm. then arpeggiate each one a few times and goof around with it til u get the sound u want.

@Arenhov yes u can play without a capo it will still sound close to the song but wont match up to recording

Let me show you how to play guitar
Step 1 you buy a guitar, alright
Step 2, you play the rest of the song *start strumming*
That's it.
