Audeze MM-100 Review - Planar Magnetic Headphones Under $500!

Показать описание

The Audeze MM-100 are wired open-back headphones with planar magnetic drivers. They're one of two headphones designed in collaboration with Grammy award-winning engineer/producer Manny Marroquin, intended as a mid-range alternative to the more premium Audeze MM-500. They're designed with studio applications in mind, so they sport gel-filled earpads and an adjustable ski-band-style headband that aims to make long recording sessions as comfortable as possible. Their low sensitivity and impedance also mean you can use them with a phone or laptop without a dedicated amp or sound card to drive them.

The verdict comparison slide shows nothing about the differences in sound and freq response you're actually talking about, it feels disconnected

I love the rtngs website headphone reviews. Could you please add reviews for Devine pro 4000 and Takstar Pro 82? They might be excellent budget mixing 'phones, but hard to know, because reviews seem scarce.

They probably mastered that album on few pairs of studio monitors that they like: hey, let's put those headphones on for few minutes just to say we used them in the session. 😁
Wow! What a dip in the treble and deficiency in the bass. Might be EQable...

Hello, I just want to use one earphone and don't want to be tired of switching devices all the time depending on the type of music. I listen to 80% classical and 20% jazz and pop. I I think I like mm500 very much, and I think the instrument part is quite good, and the vocals are in the front, so the female voice sounds good. Do you recommend other headphones at this level? I think the Sound Stage of the mm500 is ok. For classical music, the instrument is not too modified and artificial, the low-frequency dive is enough for jazz. I'm still looking for a sound I like, maybe you can give me some advice or other information.

This may be a silly question, but if it’s lacking low end why would it be good for mixing ?

100% agree on the treble...there's just something missing. Like it's masking some of the hi-end by dampening it. I like to hear that harshness. It helps me to know if my mix is too bright and/or harsh.

Recommending Sundaras and Bayers and not talking about their DISTORTION means this channel is made by noobs for noobs.

Not a technical review and not really helpful to me.
