The day that I left to go to LA, I saw a listing on OfferUp for this Model M SSK for ONLY $30. I was super ticked off before it was bad timing of me leaving the day that I see a deal that I knew would never come back around in a while. Thankfully, I had a friend who was available at the time and he was able to swoop this thing up for me. I was extremely happy and grateful for that moment and now that this keyboard is in my possession, let me explain my thoughts on it:

With the IBM Model M being praised by many keyboard people and for it basically being the "holy grail" of vintage keyboards, I was happy enough to stumble upon it on OfferUp for a great price and being able to actually use a keyboard like this feels great. I overestimated how tactile these were supposed to be, but it is definitely clicky and loud. I love the font of the keycaps and I just love the look of it overall. It's crazy to think that the TKL version of the IBM Model M is extremely expensive compared to the full sized version, but I have no plans of selling this anytime soon. I still want to preserve this thing but also use it on my PC now, so I'll get an adapter sometime soon. This specific keyboard was also manufactured in 1993 if anybody else needed more specific information. I only have 1 other keyboard that I have yet to make a typing video on, but I do have some plans in the future. Anyways, life is good, school is okay, work is great, and I'm just basically thriving as much as possible right now. :]

You should try the tape mod on this - believe it or not, it actually makes a difference on buckling springs boards.
