Of all the incidents presented, Lex Thompson and lack of locker facilities were the most notable.

So many reasons I only play for fun and refuse to play by the strict, outrageously ridiculous rules.

The backstopping incident was completely off base.

That shot that you called backstopping was dumb luck, that’s why they high fives. Think about it, if she was good enough to hit that ball then she just as easily could have holed it. Some things just happen.
As for the ball mark, that’s controversial also, the camera angle could have changed making the bal look like it was moved. She was standing over the top it and for the sake of the game marked it as close as she felt it was to, the original mark. Nobody had any issues except some dweeb sitting on his couch, should have never been a problem. He didn’t even pay for a ticket.
As for their dress code, I think they are grown women and they could decide what to wear.

You don’t have to mark your ball if you’re opponent is off the green, unless they request it

Never touch another players ball during play, 4 ball or not.

The rules are the rules. Truth be told, the rules of golf in their entirety can be easily learned in a few days. If you’re a professional golfer and don’t know the rules inside and out, the penalties you incur are on you, especially given the fact there are rules officials at their disposal at every tournament. Most these controversies are the players fault for not knowing and adhering to the rules of the game.

Until they remove the controversial leadership nothing will change and women will suffer in professional sports!

4:53 people complaining about this as cheating, are insane. if she could successfully hit the other ball to stop short, im sure she could play a much safer shot. It clearly wasn’t done on purpose, and if it was, she deserves the lie she got, bcuz that would be hella accuracy

When chipping on to the green, it is actually NOT required, or expected, (and in some cases it is illegal) for an opponent, or partner, to mark their ball on the green.

1 the Americans showed poor sportsmanship. 2 Lexie should not have been penalized period. 3 the controversy over backstopping is ridiculous it would be easier to make the putt than to hit another player's ball intentionally. 4 the woman said something stupid, forgive her. 5 if you want more viewers plunging necklines are a must. 6 Changing in the parking lot should eliminate that course from pro tournaments. 7 Koda putt, leave others ball alone period. 8 my fave Ko should never be penalized for anything period. 9 Yep the money is better than the honor.

I have been a Pro since the 70s (Male) Backstopping > give me a break ... unless the ball on the green is in the reasonable line of the next shot it does not have to be marked ... 2 plays can hit shots from 200 yards and have one hit the other ... as for the Annika hitting out of order ... I think the USA team should have just moved on and let it play (I am from the USA) Outfits > Beach volleyball anyone ??? Picking the ball up on the edge of the cup ... accidental > but legit ... signing the wrong score > It's the rule > there is nothing black and white about the rule ... and the Masters was lost for the same reason .... Viewers at home calling players on a so-called mistake > dumbest crap ever ... much less the issues of camera angles > even used on instant replay in Pro Sports

Backstopping???? In my 67 years, I have never herd this phrase in golf. What a joke. There are no rules pertaining to a player from off the green hitting a ball on the green except for the player whose ball is hit, replacing it as close as possible to that point. And if I can understand the rules of golf....anyone can. It does not take more than a 6th grade education to read and understand. Rules are there to make the playfield even. IF YOU ACCEPT PLAYING IN A GAME WITH are required to live by them. No "harsh" or "arcane" exceptions. YOU as a player entered into a "contract" that said you would play by those rules and you must play by those rules. IT AIN"T ROCKET SCIENCE!! And PLEASE stop with "the sprit of the game" crap. The game is the and all. If you cannot play by those rules....go home.

There are reasons why rules / laws are in place there is no reason to get upset about them learn from the mistakes and make yourself better.

Very unprofessional of the course to not have locker rooms available for the players. Should not happen.
