Hi Andy, really enjoy your channel and the indepth reviews and guidance you provide on the shotscope. My question is, has anyone commented on the dimness of the backlighting? It is near impossible to see the dial indoors. This feature is not adjustable, so i could never use it as an everyday watch. Thanks.

Only negatives I have is the brightest is low and the watch times out quickly. If they had both of these adjustable it would be the perfect golf watch.

Thanks though for the 'wake up' tip to make a practice swing. I don't make practice swings in a greenside bunker either..
Interesting tip on manual putting not being more accurate than automatic. I find it generally inaccurate - just due to the standard accuracy tolerance of GPS sensors in general, it's just not accurate enough to be correct on decimeters. I need to post process >50% of my putts for every round. I started making notes now on how long my putts are on my scorecard. Despite that being a mild annoyance with the product GPS function making coded notes like that turns out to be rather useful, because I am now also making notes for misreads and too short/too long misses, which helps me to focus on putting skills (my worst department in strokes gained vs my hcp peers)

The Shoscope V5 has so much potential. Literally - I haven't played a single round where it has accurately tracked all scores and all shots. I literally have to spend so much time in the Desktop website adding in shots, correcting clubs used, correcting where balls where played. As such - the risk becomes SISO or "sh*t in sh*t out" as club distances aren't as exact as they should be. Shotscope have to urgently focus with software updates !!!

just sent my X5 back for the v5 the X5 was doing my head in. wrong yardages always changing holes blah blah blah. i do like shot scope so i hope this one matched up up to the level of the V3?1/1!?!?

Google maps are not updated that frequently I recently looked at the last time my course has images and they were from 2019. There are 3 bunkers missing from the course maps. Another course I play has 3 new holes these have been in play more than a year but are still not available as an update.

How accurate is the putting? The main appeal of a ShotScope is for the putting (I’m coming from a Garmin and walk off my putts). I guess the real question is about the GPS precision. I don’t really care if my 5 iron is 195 yds when it really went 200, but, say, a 5 foot putt is way different from a 20 footer.

New google map update has shadows cast over my course, makes it impossible to manually edit round. It has ruined the user experience.
