The app itself ruined the Dev's life since it wasn't just the angry people that piled onto his stress. He was also threatened with copyright infringement since some assets looked too similar to Nintendo properties. He was stressed tf out which is why he shut it down. And because of this trauma is why he does not give a shit about his game.

The ad that says 'drink Lucky Cola' probably has more to it then at first glance. We know that sugar is considered as illegal drugs in Toonville, and cola contains a LOT of sugar. This further proves the point Datchia made that Lucky actually works with illegal drugs in the "plush factory" that Riggy burned down.
