Pro-tip: if you convert to base 4, you'll only have to solve 0x0, 1x1, 2x2, and 3x3!

if you count by the number of pieces on each face for the final 5x5, which is 25 pieces on each side or 150 pieces total, then he solved exactly 40% of the cube. 54 pieces for the centers and 6 for the perfect edge come out to 60/150 or 40% of the cube.
