The thing you got wrong, PETA, is that zoos aren't these strict, cruel things. At the Houston Zoo, the keepers and park workers ensure the animals are healthy, physically and mentally, to ensure things like this do not happen. While I understand that not all zoos can have elephant pens the size of an elementary school, it doesn't mean you should ban ALL zoos.
But while I understand circuses, one thing you missed is crucial: you don't need animals for a circus. I did my research, and circus animals are treated pretty trashy. So, just go to a circus without any animals, and watch a tightrope walker instead.
