She wore shoes granted which was not canon to the character, but they did match the costume entirely so it actually looked right.

Also, you kinda have to have shoes on in the ring. It's an old rule that's been in wrestling for a while and it's for safety. Shoes provide traction and the ring cloth can get slippery after a while with people sweating. Every promotion has a rule about shoes and bare feet.

While some were upset with only part of Zelina's cosplay for reasons we all know, gamers can be a fickle bunch no matter what. I am sure a lot would pick apart Kenny Omega's entrance as Sephiroth for Wrestle Kingdom, just for the sake of it.

Sort of reminds me of a rather horrible incident at last year's Northern Ireland comic con involving a Juri cosplayer who wore Air Jordans like Zelina Vega. She got ridiculously bullied and heckled by quite a few people in attendance at the event. Most notably during a Q and A session with one of the American actors at the event when she stood up to ask a question and people started heckling her.
