Hi - am a fan of real tang.d I mean 69-87 and still play their music non stop today. I have listened to your valiant efforts and fully appreciate your limitations. However, you - the same with many other TD enthusiasts - have failed to pick up how much Edgar and Chris never actually touched the keyboard. Take another look at them in action, check out Warsaw 83 and listen to Choronzon, opening of Hyperborea side 2 and the most of Exit - absolute stunning dexterity of style. Tangram too and Rare Bird. If you look more closely and I tend to find Chris did this a lot and in that they hit the keyboard momentarily while letting the soundscape fill in the blanks. That was their beauty. And like Gary Numan on Cars and Are Friends Electric for example, the art of the single note that actually went somewhere. Schmoelling did a lot of this. Many modern amateur synth players once they've created the sequence are far too happy only to then do joined up finger chord work to fill in the blanks. More's the pity. While I like your sequencing, I beg you to be far more creative with your keyboard work and do something more than joined up notes. Look again at the great synth players no matter what style they are and look how captivating their work is on single note creativity. Alongside this, try hitting/striking the keyboard briefly to create a more dramatic effect while adding noise affects to enhance it. Check out the opening on Warsaw 83 to see what I mean - C Franke especially. I will keep listening to your music from time to time and once more I fully appreciate your efforts, as I would love to see our style of synth come to prominence once more. For now though - Keep it synth!!! JAF.

Really good job. Shame it's in mono though. :-(

Excellent rendition, but the excessive portamento makes it sound weedy and comical, like it is being played by a Kazoo, the drums are great.
