Good stuff! I think that is borderline cheating on carb tuning 😁You are correct on the datalog/setup for a carb. A digital ignition controller is not cheap - and it only does 1 thing. I am very curious on the micro/megasquirt for a carb - never thought of that

To kind of simplify things I run a 1:1 linkage. I like the idea of progressive link (even more robust operating range) but I rather work through the circuits to tune the fuel curve rather than have air step up too. It’s probably better to have prog link for mileage and all I dunno in a man trans car with gears it doesn’t matter much…

If you have the TPS, O2 and MAP just add an Air Idle solenoid to control the AFR on the fly.
As for a distributor... Progressive ignition's electronic timing system for five Bills is the only answer.
