Fascinating video, Let's stop taking relationship and family for granted. I have battled depression since my wife left me. I have tried all I can to make her see that I love her with everything I am made of but she has insisted on leaving. This has made me so empty, and I do not know what to do. I can barely function properly at work. I am frustrated and miserable. I really miss her.

Thank you Mel!

I’m in my early 20s, feeling isolated from the people in my life and this is exactly what I needed.❤️

As a person who will be 20 years old in a month, I so agree that this is the most difficult stage in life, in the first few years there are no adults around me who would teach me and tell me what, when and how to do and this leads me to panic and confusion, in just the last two years I have changed two colleges and several groups of friends and it seems only recently that I have found a minimum of stability in my life, but I still have the feeling that this is not forever

WOW!!! Just wow!! I have an almost 26 year old son and 22 year old daughter! You are just so spot on with everything Mel! SO much pressure for our young adult children. I wish someone taught me this when I was in my 20s. I was at Family Reunion a week and a half ago and just loved seeing you there. Thank you so much for inspiring me every day!! xo, Jaimie

I was the opposite. My twenties were my happiest. I went bump, bump, bump down from there. Now I'm in my late sixties. I get by. I'm alive.

“You have your shit together” thank you, this is what I needed to hear. It’s so hard when everyone around you wants to convince you that you don’t since they don’t have the same end goal as you and don’t understand WHY you’re at where you are now.

I never got to live on my own in my 20s. I'm learning how to navigate that now in my 30s. 😅

I just crossed the bridge from 25 into my upper 20s but already made my financial mistakes about 2 years ago where I was spending so much on god knows what. Now I've taken up that habit of writing things in my notes app before buying - mainly because I have to save up for them - but i wish I was doing this sooner.... but I am doing it now, so while I can't get my money back from 2021-2022, I can start saving the money I'm making from here on out.

Ok, Mel. I listened to... "the things I wish I knew in my 20's". NOW... I want to hear from an expert on "the things I wish I knew in my 60's". I'm going to try and keep this as short & sweet as possible... but as much detail as you need to get the right Podcast content. Bachelor's degree, 37 years of working as a Controller / great job & wonderful friends, was on-point every day for 37 years, retired at 59½, listened to your Podcast about finding your Passion... and do it! So, I did, at 60 I enrolled in the National Academy of Sports Medicine and after 6 months became a Certified Personal Trainer.... went to the local fitness facility, taught free to sell myself... was hired and began teaching Sessions! (...love it & and the members love me). But... my upbringing said, not enough... then enrolled in NASM to become a Certified Nutritional Coach. Yes, I couldn't STOP, I have to constantly learn more so I can teach more... Until about a month ago... when my anxiety level was at maximum... thinking I had to get up at 5:00am to teach Personal Training Sessions, Study every day to ingest & maintain all the information in the 800 page Nutritional manual prior to taking the 100 question exam, while also leading a life with my partner and all my fellow friends who are retired with me (...now that I'm 61). I literally sat down a few days ago and said, what am I doing? Yes, maybe my passion is Personal Training... but it's also: spending time with my friends, Gardening, etc... I'm not the person you spoke of today at 20 yrs old. I no longer have "that much" time... although I'm in pretty darn good shape and eat better than 99% of my friends! LOL But at 60 I need to know how to feel that - I don't have to do EVERYTHING. My generation was taught to work hard, find that positive place in whatever you are doing, always help others, etc... now that I'm 60, it's hard to turn-that-off. I don't want to just sit around. But I DO need to be "ok" without having a fully booked calendar. I guess in writing this to you... I realize I need to learn to say "no" - to myself - and others, at times. Maybe you could fashion a Podcast around the 60's generation?!??!?! We are listening to Sorry this got lengthy!!! Thank you, ReKay in Wisconsin
