Any creature that can tolerate having a parasite slowly eating their eye, must be really laid back. Perhaps that's the secret of their longevity; they just don't get stressed about anything...

That shark is now 393 years old and it was born in the year 1627. That is just crazy when you think about it. I wonder how they can live so long.

Fun fact: Despite being thought of as scavengers, Greenland sharks are actually considered by biologists to be active predators (albeit VERY slow-moving ones) these days, covering a wide range of depths and areas. Probably stealth-hunters since they cannot chase down anything.
