Overhands are the best. If you shuffle like a muggle, the wonders you produce will get much more impressive:)

I hope you understand how amazing you are, Sean... I started magic a year ago.. and you have given me so much knowledge and joy.. im obviously an amateur, but the things i can do with a deck of cards now... makes me feel like a pro sometimes 😅😅. Thank you, man.

I've been doing the jog shuffle as a professional for 30 years, and based on the touches I've learned from this video, I feel it's now twice as good. Well done!

Great tips, Sean! If I could add a tip, it’s that I always run 3 cards on top of the card(s) to be controlled - as taught in Royal Road and Card College. It’s SO disarming to show that I didn’t accidentally shuffle their card to the top or the bottom, yet we’re still in full control :)

Good evening Seen! I want to share with you a idea that I have a month ago. Take a "Verneise break" between the middle and anular finger to the bottom card of the deck. So start a normal shuffle and tell to the spectator to say stop anywhere. When he/ She says stop show the card with a side jog, and while you talk with he/she contact the spectator's card with the break, and continue the shuffle normally. This Is interesting because you can control the card to the top, or in second or third position.
The best way to cover the "opened" card Is grab the frontal portion of the deck with all the four fingers, and when you have to continue the shuffle, change your body position from frontal in sideward.
Please can you try this experimental control? I'm curious!
Night from Italy!

I'm surprised you didn't include the lift shuffle. It seems to have been completely forgotten about. It can retain not just one card but a good-sized top stock, plus it can be used as a timing force. Very underrated, not sure why.

Do you ever use anything on your fingers so that they can "pull" or "slide" cards without slipping or sticking? For example, I think bank tellers may use something when counting bills.

Hindu shuffle is an easy to control shuffle because you have a card on the bottom, and you show whatever card you want to be on the bottom. I could have a baseball card hidden on the bottom of the deck if I wanted.
