Our son has some school debt and has three, yes three jobs and is attacking the smallest loan like a gazelle. He's 23 and he wants to be debt free in less than 6 years.
His degree has landed him his first salaried job, plus he works a graveyard shift 5 days a week.
55 hour work week and he's certainly not listening to broke friends with no vision for tbeir future. So proud of him. Thank you Dave for your plan.

Being debt free is one of the most "FREEING" feelings I've ever known. It's almost indescribable, the elation, lightness, and freedom one feels! Pay off that debt, but also make sure you have that emergency fund, because, "You just never know".

Following Dave's advice my wife and I paid off $92, 000 in debt in 3 years.
It's now been over 5 years since we owed anyone anything .., except for taxes.

I love how people either have no clue or don't care about the amount of interest they pay on debt. Paying it off ASAP is money in the bank. I paid off my house in 10 years and saved over $75, 000 in interest! Pay off your debt!!

People don't understand that if you pay off everything as soon as possible like cars, house, and student loans. You will have like double or triple the money after. Say you pay off your house in 8 years, you now have an extra say 1500 dollars every month for the next 40 or 50 years.

I totally feel her as I am the guy version of this woman. People call me stupid and keep telling me that I need a credit card and that I need debt. Watch what happens when I get out of debt. Bet they won't be calling me stupid then 😁
