Welcome to my brand new series LOCKED BELOW! Where we are restricted to only gaining experience underground as an ULTIMATE IRONMAN.
The rules of this challenge are pretty simple. Any quest is on the table as long it opens up underground content that can progress the account. Besides completing quests all other experience must come from underground dungeons and caves.
We will split our challenge in to three types of goals: Short, Medium and Long term goals..
These goals are subject to change as the account progresses but for the time being the goals are as followed.
Short Term:
--Make 1 mill
--Obtain a rune scimmy
Medium Tier:
--Rogues Outfit
--Green cash stack
--Complete a barrows set
Long Term:
--Fire Cape
--Purple drop from a raid
--Abyssal Whip
--Defeat every underground boss that is (killable)
Will we be able to complete our goals to become the underground king or will the harsh reality of being an UIM stuck underground be too much?

Do all quests that unlocks anything that is underground. If you get any rewards, just drop it. Only keep essential items that needs to be used somewhere.

I think you should do any quests that get you to underground areas. Like underground pass. I like the barrows idea.

I believe the fairest approach would be to make any quest that unlocks anything underground fair game. However, to maintain integrity and fairness, we should ensure that as many items as possible required for these quests can be obtained from underground sources.

I would like you to take the approach as the chest locked ironman, you can do any quest that works towards unlocking an underground area

I brainstormed with some friends a sun sensitivity for above ground travel. Like desert heat or Moritania swamp but worse. Each tile requires one point of damage worth of healing food to traverse or something like that 😂 just an idea. Makes moving between dungeons more interesting. love the idea and excited for the series anyhow!

What about underwater? :)
This would mean, fossil island as well as guardians of the rift, which would be a pretty big impact i imagine

I remember caveman only did a series like this back in the day.

I would really like to see the quest perilous moons (and its requirements) be added to your quest exceptions. I haven't looked into the quests before to see if they feel to loose in regards to your restrictions. I do feel like the moons of peril armour and weapons would be a huge upgrade for your account.

So, I would have to look at other quests to see what effect they would have, but I believe priest in peril is a must. Getting to do Barrows is an absolute HAVE to do. Not to mention as an ultimate iron man you'll be super limited in your ability to continuously perform runs. You can't telly directly there, you can't hit your house to rejuvenate and restock... For you to get a full set under those parameters would be amazing

Now, I haven't done it ever, but you DO get access to the room where the latest Gielinor Games tribunal hung out, during Dragon Slayer 2, which is... An underground area! So partial completion would be neat! As with your decision on RFD being "just start it", I'd say partial completion of quests can also be a goal in itself, if not too much shenanigans happens up top.

Edit: if you want any extra XP, Below Ice Mountain is a near one to finish too. Access to the ruins of Camdozaal, old dwarf capital that has some neat stuff that grows with you for a couple levels

Really like the concept! As others have said: I'd allow yourself to do anything that will open up more underground content. You're already allowed to travel in the overworld and restricted as a UIM, as long as you aren't actively training/obtaining anything unnecessary I think it's fair give yourself as much potential as possible. Very well done thus far and I'm excited for more!

Def gonna be following this series going forward, looks like it has a lot of promise. Imo you should do any quest that unlocks a significant underground area, just drop any items that you get while above ground. Liked and subbed brodie

Cool vid, some tips i thought about while half awake.
For woodcutting there IS a regular tree in the varrock sewers, or you can swing to CoX and find a ice demon first room and just chop hella trees
Camdozal might be nice for some early XP and potential Desert Treasure 2 bosses
Best of luck cant wait to see what comes next!

I'm two weeks too late but a 5 minute sun timer would be funny, basically you burn up if you're in the sun for longer than 5 minutes

23:37 but also most of the routes you access it are underground, top it off even guardians gives off a cave vibe, if it looks like a cave, sounds like a cave, and forms rock formations with water are probably caves.
