Audi S4 034 Transmission Mount Insert Install - MY FIRST MOD! - At The Wheel

This is the 034Motorsport B8 S4 Transmission Mount Insert, a ridiculously easy mod you can do to help improve drivetrain stiffness and feel, without adding any noise, vibration or harshness (NVH). I bought one for my car, and I'm really impressed. Here's the install, and my thoughts.

Damn man. Maybe I’m too high right now but that was one of the best car mod review/ install videos I’ve ever seen. & I’ve watched countless of them. The only problem is the bolts are Torque To Yield Bolts, they are supposed to be torques to 15 ftlb (22nm) and THEN another 90° per the oem specs, BUT Torque to Yield Bolts are one use only, they are stretched, people have snapped the heads clean off just getting to the 15 ftlb (22nm) just so you guys know, the bolts are like $1.50 Just replace them.

Hi, I have a question. I could feel vibration from underneath my car whenever I start driving from stationary up to gear 5. I have changed upper and lower control arms, shock absorbers and tires. But to no avail. It happens on straight road too. Please advise, thanks.

I think there is one MAJOR issue to be concerned regrading this upgrade. The OEM mount insert is designed to allow movement and provide a level of damping. Reduction or removal of damping is a personal choice but I think it is sensible to base that choice on acceptance that there may be a risk involved, which could cause a lot of tension on the transmission itself. I addition the transmission has its own vibration and tolerance of movement that could protect the transmission itself too. What about these concerns?

Hey guys u need transmission mount insert for B9 models u do not need to waste $100 after tax on 034 motorsports! U can get them for half the price from ecstuning or cts turbo directly … i have cts turbo transmission mount insert in my A4 B9 it does the same job good as 034 motorsports! I paid $50

Yet another 034 part which is heavily overpriced. All their parts are 2-3 X more expensive than what they should be. Good on them. They must be making hefty profit margins. The brand sells.
I got min for £35 from Forge in the UK. I used to be a design engineer and machinist and can tell you the quality of workmanship looks better than the 034 part. As for material.... they tell you on the video its manufactured from extreme high quality expensive aluminum to tight tolerances. For a part like this.... its overkill...if true.
