The free roam aspect is really cool and it could open up new possibilities for the sim racing genre. Forza has Horizon, but the physics are more arcade than realistic. Imagine if Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo have free roam around some of the race tracks in the game. That would be cool to see.

I think its within Kunos's best interest to add modding to the game using their own tools because if they provide us with a store for mods on pc and console, they will likely want to take a 30% cut on all mod purchases. This means every single mod sale on assetto corsa evo will result in a direct profit for kunos. this means they will have another revenue stream on top of users buying the game and any future DLCs they offer. This also provides them with long term financial streams to help them either profit, or invest in further development for the game

I saw the interviews with the CEO, we can feel that he really knows what is doing.
We can expect quality even in early access, not how happened with Forza and TDU lol 😅

I can’t imagine buying a game and *only* be able to drive on a track (yes ik that’s what AC is known for) so watching this video with free roam being confirmed (possibly) is so exciting! The game also really looks amazing and I might actually buy this after watching a couple videos from BPants just to be sure :)

Anyone who plays AC with mods isn't going to like the new way they are doing it. They're essentially turning modders into outsource developers, that have to adhere to licensing from manufacturers. That will severely limit the scope of mod content that people are used to on PC. It should be good for consoles though as they never had mods to begin with, so it's like having extra DLC content.

They may even start taking down mods that don't use their official platform, now they have one. Some kind of verification system to get car manufacturers to agree to the concept. Perhaps always-online.

I should hope that Kunos are going to pay these outsource developers for essentially free labour too, as they do their in-house ones.

Hope my concerns on these matters are refuted when the game actually launches.

Ok, looking at my finances for a new PC, sim rig, wide-screen monitor and possibly a new wheel, I should be able to play this game in about... 5 years. Make that 6 years.
