This book is perfect for anyone who's spent time with school-gate politics. It's set around 3 women, each very different but connected because their kids attend the same school. Their lives seem to resemble those of people you meet on the PTA, and the parents of your kids' friends -- but from the very beginning you know that someone's going to die, and it's not until the end that you find out who, and why. In between there's loads of rumour, uravellings, spite, mystery and revelations -- and the veneer which sits so nicely across our every day lives is pulled back to reveal the lies which we tell to others, and to ourselves.
