I find it funny this Ryan Gosling stuff started right when news about the Rey movie losing another writer dropped.

No matter which ever A-List Celebrity they bring in, if the Mando movie ends up bombing, it will not matter. This takes you back to Mando S3 with Jack Black and Lizzo, two big names that added nothing to the series. Hell, the Holiday Special did it better than Disney Star Wars.

I do not care much about any of Lucasfilm's announcement. There may be some where I am more "oh gosh, hopefully this will not go anywhere". And until now, pretty much anything does reliably go anywhere. The only exception to this rule seems to be the Mando & Grogu movie. TBH, I do not care much about anything Disney Star Wars anymore. Skeleton Crew was fine, which is at least...something nowadays? The bar is really starting to sink into the ground.

The problem is EVEN if it was the best Star Wars film ever. What is it going to amount to? They couldn't get bigger than Mando Season 2. That was the peak. And look where we are today. There's no vision at the helm of this franchise. They're going in every other direction and falling flat on their face over and over again. We need someone in charge who has a long term plan for the story.
